Acoustic Report

Sound Insulation Testing (also referred to as pre-completion testing and acoustic testing) is required on all new build (providing robust details haven’t been adopted) and converted dwellings that have separating walls or floors.

 

The requirement is driven by Part E of Building Regulations and is to ensure that suitable sound insulation has been installed. We also test appliances, extractor fans etc to check that they fall within the tolerated decibel allowance.
